English: Tiananmen Square (simplified Chinese: 天安门广场; traditional Chinese: 天安門廣場; pinyin: Tiān'ānmén Guǎngchǎng) is the large plaza near the center of Beijing, China, named after the Tiananmen (literally, Gate of Heavenly Peace) which sits to its north, separating it from the Forbidden City.
中文: 天安門廣場是位于北京市中心的城市广场，是全世界最大的城市廣場，因位于明清故宮皇城的南门——天安门外而得名。广场北端设有国旗杆，每天都會隨日出、日落進行升、降旗禮。
