English: Tom Lanoye [lan-WA] (born August 27, 1958, in Sint-Niklaas) is a Belgian novelist and poet who works in Antwerp (Belgium) and Cape Town (South Africa). He gained widespread popularity in the early 1980s as part of the new generation of young Flemish novelists that included Herman Brusselmans and Kristien Hemmerechts.
Nederlands: Tom Emiel Gerardine Aloïs Lanoye ( Sint-Niklaas, 27 augustus 1958) is een Vlaamse schrijver. Lanoye treedt ook op in one-man theater.
