English: A tubular bridge is a box girder bridge where the traffic is carried inside the girder. For large bridges this is a rare form of construction and the only two major examples were produced in the 19th century by Stephenson. The term 'tubular girder' is used imprecisely to mean either a tubular bridge, or a girder of circular cross section.
