English: Upper Egypt (Arabic: صعيد مصر Sa'id Misr), is along both sides of the Nile valley, from Lower Egypt to the Cataracts of the Nile and Nubia
- It extends from modern-day Aswan downriver (northwards) to the area south of modern-day Cairo.
- The downriver/northern part of Upper Egypt, between El-Ayait and Sohag, is also known as Middle Egypt.
