English: The Väla School is an early 20th cen. school from Västergötland nowadays located in the open air museum Skansen in Stockholm, Sweden. The building contains both a schoolroom as well as housing for the teacher's family. Teachers' salaries were low and beekeeping was an important source of income. The garden provided the family with vegetables but was also used as an educational tool.
