Français : La statue est le fruit d'un montage entre le bas d'un corps antique, un torse du XVIe siècle (remploi d'une statue brisée ?), un visage d'après l'antique et le sommet d'une tête antique. Le tout reprend un type statuaire, une Aphrodite pudique, connu par d'autres répliques romaines (Syracuse) qui doivent reproduire une création hellénistique (du IIe siècle avant J.-C. ?).
