English: Višegrad is a town and municipality in the eastern part of Republika Srpska, Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is on the river Drina, located on the road from Goražde and Ustiprača towards Užice in Serbia. The well known bridge on the Drina in Višegrad was built by Sinan on the orders of Grand Vezier Mehmed Paša Sokolović in 1571.
