MOR 555 is the catalogue number to a fossil specimen of the theropod dinosaur Tyrannosaurus rex. It got it's nickname "Wankelrex" (or "Wankel rex") after Kathy Wankel, who discovered the skeleton in 1988. "Wankelrex" are estimated to have been about 36.5 feet long[1], are well preserved, and were the first Tyrannosaurus specimen with a fairly preserved forelimb. A bronzecast of this skeleton, nicknamed "Big Mike", are mounted outside the Museum of the Rockies.[2]
