This category includes fortresses and forts of the 19th century, which have been part of the fortification of the Greater Warsaw Region (in Polish called: Warszawski Rejon Forteczny, Warszawski Rejon Umocniony or Polski Trójkąt). In German it was called Grosses Festungsdreieck, Polnisches Festungsdreieck, or Russisch-Polnisches Festungsdreieck. Besides the three fortresses Warsaw, Modlin and Zegrze the fortification has included the forts Dębe, Beniaminów, Maciołki, Kawęczyn and Wawer.
