English: (From Wikipedia:) A class of amphibious assault ships of the United States Navy that resemble an aircraft carrier but primarlly carry helicopters. The Wasp class vessels carry the prefix LHD, are derived from the earlier Tarawa Class. The earliest forebear of this type is the Iwo Jima Class. This category applies to the following ships:
