English: Wilhelm von Gloeden (1856-1931) was a German photographer who spent most of his life in Taormina, Sicily. He is famous for his photographs of the male nude, in which boys from Taormina posed Several photographs of male nudes taken in Rome and Naples in the same period by his cousin Wilhelm von Plüschow (1852-1930) are still erroneously credited to him.
