English: Xishuang Lou (西爽楼) is a large tulou in Xi'an Village, Xiazhai Town. Dating to 1679, it was a very large rectangular tulou with rounded corners. Now it has been mostly ruined, but the central part of the southern wall (actually, facing SSE), with the main gate, have been restored. It faces a large crescent-shaped pond, surrounded by other traditinal buildings. Inside the tulou there are family residences, vegetables gardens, and a restored temple. Xishuang Lou appears as no. 39 in the list of "Exemplary tulous" in Huang Hanmin's book, "Fujian Tulou".
