Deutsch: Die Zentralschweiz oder Innerschweiz ist die Schweizer Region, die den zentral gelegenen Teil der Alpen und de:Voralpen umfasst. Zu ihr gehören die Kantone Uri, Schwyz, Obwalden, Nidwalden, Luzern und Zug. Das städtische Zentrum der Zentralschweiz ist Luzern. Die Zentralschweiz ist eine der sieben de:Grossregionen der Schweiz. Von der Zentralschweiz abzugrenzen ist das historische Gebiet der Urkantone, auch Urschweiz oder de:Waldstätte genannt. Dieses umfasst nur die Kantone Uri, Schwyz und de:Unterwalden (Obwalden und Nidwalden).
English: Central Switzerland is the region of the Alpine foothills geographically the heart and historically the origin of Switzerland, with the cantons of Uri, Schwyz, Obwalden, Nidwalden, Luzern and Zug. Central Switzerland is one of the NUTS 2 Statistical Regions. As such it includes the cantons of Lucerne, Uri, Schwyz, Obwalden, Nidwalden, Zug.
