English: Zzyzx, formerly known as Soda Springs and Fort Soda, a small settlement in the Mojave Desert in San Bernardino County, California. The Desert Studies Center occupies this site. On this site is Lake Tuendae, an artificial lake (not to be confused with Soda Dry Lake, the large dry lake to the east of Zzyzx).
