"Bastet" is more properly "Bast" -- see the Wikipedia article -- Later scribes sometimes named her Bastet, a variation on Bast consisting of an additional feminine suffix to the one already present, thought to have been added to emphasise pronunciation. This additional suffix is unneeded in English and helps to spread the myth that Bast's name had two syllables. Could someone fix this?

I fixed the inaccurate stuff about Her being a solar deity and a protector of pregnant women and so on, but I don't speak French and am unsure of whether the French text is Egyptologically sound or not.
