Should this be done with public domain images?[edit]

Should this be done with public domain images, or just ones that are "own work" of our contributors? After all, most of our public domain images were published somewhere: that's typically how we got them, but we are not really in any meaningful sense a source. - Jmabel ! talk 05:22, 14 July 2009 (UTC)

As this cat is labeled "Commons as a media source" including PD images is ok IMHO if the re-use can be sourced to Commons without doubt. --Túrelio (talk) 08:00, 14 July 2009 (UTC)
