No, you are wrong! Only the names of the categories are english. Descriptions on images and articles and galleries in articles can be in every language. Bonjour. Vu un peu de l'extérieur, cela semble un dialogue de sourds... La page Commons:Categories#Using_categories dit clairement que les noms sont en anglais : «Category names should always be in English — we still lack internationalization for category names, but this issue should be resolved with appropriate changes to the MediaWiki software (see bugzilla:5638).» Jusqu'à présent, j'utilise commons comme un réceptacle pour des images, un outil pour wikipédia, et l'usage de l'anglais n'est pas un problème. Ce serait bien entendu préférable d'avoir un multilinguisme pour les catégories. Actuellement, avec deux catégories concurrentes, c'est confu, désagréable, démotivant ... Yes, Commons is multilingual. You can make the description for the inmages in every language, many tags are translated, and many more ... only for the 'name of an category we need a rule: name of a category is in english.
