Move request[edit]
Inappropriate name confusing mail with post. In 15 February 2009 Foroa deleted Category:Military mail and move it to Category:Military post apparently without any discussion or reference to any philatelists. I doubt Foroa had a real understanding of the difference in the terms and their meaning.
A "Military post" is a location where military personnel can be stationed while "Military mail" refers to mail posted to or from military personnel.
Do not delete or redirect this category after a move because I will categorise appropriate "Military posts" items found by this search. Ww2censor (talk) 15:51, 9 October 2010 (UTC)
- I was not the requester, but the request was logical and did not create miscategorisation. --Foroa (talk) 16:23, 9 October 2010 (UTC)
- I only said you were the deleter, not the requester, but is doing the move I assumed you agreed with the move request. One way or another the terms are different and should be accurate and separate. I hope you support the move request. Ww2censor (talk) 16:39, 9 October 2010 (UTC)
- I support the idea of renaming. The current Military post is really confusing. --Michael Romanov (talk) 20:53, 11 October 2010 (UTC)

Consensus appears to be for the move, and for the record I do agree with it as well. But I'm deleting the original category; use Category:Military posts if anything, as it should be plural. – Adrignola talk 16:44, 6 April 2011 (UTC)
