I am just wondering whether all Robert Sennecke's images are not already in the public domain by now. According to this website http://www.sports-reference.com/olympics/athletes/se/robert-sennecke-1.html he died in June 8th 1940. Does any one know whether the 70-year rule would apply in his case?--Rowanwindwhistler (talk) 17:26, 19 July 2010 (UTC)

Then his works will be public domain on January 1, 2011. --Martin H. (talk) 17:37, 19 July 2010 (UTC)
Besides your finding File:KurtEisner1919.jpg (link placed here to remember to restore it) I have a better scan of the photo of Eisner in a coach on his way to the Berlin on November 22, 1918. There are many other images elsewhere on the web, so this will become a happy #Public_domain_day_2011. --Martin H. (talk) 23:36, 20 July 2010 (UTC)
Oh! You found it, I was sure I had seen that picture in google books but I could not find it the other day... I found out there are some famous photos by Sennecke such as the one with Goering in the Reichtag' fire trial... It will indeed be a good day for Commons! By the way, the picture in the book can also be found in the corbis website ([1]). I wonder whether we could get a better quality version from there next year...--Rowanwindwhistler (talk) 15:52, 21 July 2010 (UTC)
A highres of that will of course supersede my scan, but there are other images that worth spending money, this isnt so precious. I uploaded it to my flickr. --Martin H. (talk) 16:18, 21 July 2010 (UTC)
