Ponying seems to be an American term. Leading is the common term used for hand or mounted leading in England, Australia and NZ at least. In OZ we have "led" classes for unridden, "in-hand" comps. Hope this helps.Cgoodwin (talk) 04:15, 13 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
