Sense[edit]

Is this category really needed? It seems to me as a bad idea to go this way. We can soon find we also have Category:French weapons from WWII on white background whose photos were taken during summer midnigth and so on. --21:12, 27 February 2012 (UTC), Utar (talk)

Why not? If you are writing a new article or a book or similar then it's not bad that you have weapons which are not in action.--Sanandros (talk) 04:52, 28 February 2012 (UTC)
I don't have anything against those pictures, I don't like the category itself. I think such categories should not be used - to place pictures in Category:White background is IMO enough. --18:40, 28 February 2012 (UTC), Utar (talk)
So OK, let it go. My frustration came from File:Pistolet à percussion inversée IMG 3074.jpg which I didn't found categorised according to type of gun. It was instead put in "such a useless" category - this one. I have read Commons:Categories once more. --19:19, 28 February 2012 (UTC), Utar (talk)
Yep that file was really not good categorized... so i added at least the cat pistol to it.--Sanandros (talk) 04:24, 29 February 2012 (UTC)
Why did you do that? I, as a better idea than writing here, have already put it in Category:Percussion pistols which is a subcategory of Pistols. Sorry, am reverting you. --10:35, 29 February 2012 (UTC), Utar (talk)
ah didn't saw that.... I'm not so much in old weapons.--Sanandros (talk) 17:40, 29 February 2012 (UTC)
