Discussion[edit]

  • Could the bot do some edits? That way we can try to evaluate the bot behaviour. Kanonkas // talk // e-mail // 15:33, 1 September 2009 (UTC)
Sorry, at moment there are some problems with the bot. I inform you when the bot resums work. Jan Luca (talk) 20:26, 6 September 2009 (UTC)
So now the bot make some edits. Jan Luca (talk) 13:52, 10 September 2009 (UTC)
Looks like {{self}} is handled incorrectly (File:Oneworld BA G-CIVP.jpg). --EugeneZelenko (talk) 14:41, 11 September 2009 (UTC)
Also it uses Templates, that do not exist [1] --Schlurcher (talk) 16:10, 13 September 2009 (UTC)
The bot use meta:CommonsHelper2 to transfer/convert the templates. But there are at moment only a few pages so that many templates have not changed. For the self-templates I add a new algorithm. Jan Luca (talk) 06:06, 26 September 2009 (UTC)
The bot should add internationalized headers ("{{int:filedesc}}" instead of "Beschreibung, Quelle", "{{date|2009|06|03}}" instead of "3.6.2009" (I wouldn't mind "2009-06-03") and so on). People may make mistakes (I only hold it against them if they keep making them after being told), bots may not edit until they don't make mistakes. That's not because bots are less than humans, but because they will just as happily make that mistake the millionth time as they made it the first time. • I today used the bot without my knowledge (I thought CommonsHelper2 would also use Magnus Manske's bot), and I like CommonsHelper2. It's much easier customizable over at Meta, there isn't that much redundant text and the table looks much better than the old upload log. I know that I have nothing to say related to bots, but I would approve the bot. --The Evil IP address (talk) 19:09, 9 October 2009 (UTC)

✓ Bot approved. Kanonkas // talk // e-mail // 19:10, 8 November 2009 (UTC)
