Discussion
- Please make test uploads. --EugeneZelenko (talk) 14:52, 10 August 2012 (UTC)

- Please use language templates for description/source/author/permission fields. Categorization is also very weak or incorrect (see File:Apollo 11 Astronauts Visiting the Pope.jpg). Will be good idea to use {{Check categories}} and upload without bot status to have more chances for human review. --EugeneZelenko (talk) 14:54, 29 August 2012 (UTC)

- I added the check category tag as an option for poorly described pictures (the categorization are based on). For the language, i can do it later, i don't think it is vital. -Dzlinker (talk) 22:12, 3 October 2012 (UTC)
- Do you have to add all categories manually after the upload? --Hedwig in Washington (Woof?) 22:26, 22 September 2012 (UTC)
- Nooo the bot does the job (based on the file description). -22:09, 3 October 2012 (UTC)
Support The uploads look ok to me.But I suggest limiting it to 10 uploads per minute, not more, to ensure the upload server is available for others. --99of9 (talk) 06:43, 12 October 2012 (UTC)
- Oppose This bot made a severe mistake with this image. As long as such mistakes can occure the bot needs to be stopped. Please check all uploads if such things happened to other "older" images. --High Contrast (talk) 19:59, 15 October 2012 (UTC)
- It is no Mistake, the bot asked if i could over write the file, and i answered yes, and i explained why on the file's talk page. Regards. - Dzlinker (talk) 20:20, 15 October 2012 (UTC)
- Your rationale is nonsense. Do you know that there are certain rules about overwriting files? Besides, did you think of the description page (including important info such as source, author info and license info) which must get updated? Obviously not. --High Contrast (talk) 20:36, 15 October 2012 (UTC)
- Ouch! Please read COM:DONTOVERWRITE, check previous uploads, and gain more experience before putting forward another bot request. Thanks for picking this up High Contrast. --99of9 (talk) 02:06, 16 October 2012 (UTC)

I realise that Commons:Username policy is only a proposed policy, but I don't think a backwards expletive in an appropriate name for a bot. Not that it's horribly offensive, but it's a bit facetious for an educational project. User names for bots should be chosen with a bit of care since they tend to be visible in many places. —LX (talk, contribs) 08:06, 16 October 2012 (UTC)
Declined on the basis that the user has insufficient policy-based experience in knowing when overwrites are appropriate. Feel free to apply again when you feel you have this experience/knowledge. Preferably with a new bot username, or at least a justification of why you think this one is acceptable. --99of9 (talk) 05:06, 29 October 2012 (UTC)
After some experiments, i renounce to get this bot flagged. I'll be back with a better one, under another name. - Dzlinker (talk) 12:52, 29 October 2012 (UTC)
- Ok thanks, the name change will be a good improvement. --99of9 (talk) 13:46, 29 October 2012 (UTC)
