- Keep. It has been established per Mike Goodwin that we do not delete beverage labels unless there is a take-down notice. The likelihood of such a take-down notice being so remote as to negate the point of removing these labels in anticipation of such a notice. --Dirk Van Esbroeck (talk) 11:07, 23 November 2011 (UTC)
- Delete Clear derivative work of the label (particularly the artwork of the ship) - keep only if it is obscured or eliminated. Mike Godwin's opinion on the matter is clearly in violation of COM:PRP ("[i]n the absence of a complaint from wine makers, I would not worry about the issue."), and is similar to opinions he gave on costumes which were later overruled by new WMF staff (see Commons:Casebook#Costumes_and_cosplay). Clearly, our content reusers (those reusing works in print) cannot rely on DMCA takedown notices, as Godwin suggests is adequate. We also cannot compare this to the Ets-Hokin v. Skyy Spirits case, where the label was only text, and so not copyrightable. De minimis is also inapplicable here because the label art features prominently in the image and contributes substantially to its overall value. Dcoetzee (talk) 15:26, 26 March 2012 (UTC)
Deleted: Since the file name, the description, and the category all make it clear that this is an image of "Brignad Beer" and not simply of a beer bottle and glass, it is clearly a DW. Jim . . . . Jameslwoodward (talk to me) 21:03, 29 March 2012 (UTC)
