  • Excluding: Globes (01.07) are not coded in 01.17
  • Specific Guidelines for 01.17.14 World maps
    • A world map is a flat representation of the earth depicting at least two hemispheres (including or excluding Antarctica). If only one hemisphere is depicted, each continent is coded separately.
    • World maps: World maps are distinguished from flattened or squashed globes (01.07.04) since they do not retain the spherical quality of a globe.
