Pedidos de renomeação de contas noutras línguas

Alemannisch | English | Español | Français | Galego | 日本語 | Português | +/-

[edit] Current requests

For the procedure please ensure that you have read this and the following section so that you request may be dealt with as quickly as we can. Thanks.

[edit] Mohsin to Shahed

I would like to change this username to this, because it is one of my other names, and I would like it that way to be more easier to log in with. Thanks! (could this be done now please, thank you!) Mohsin (talk) 17:52, 13 September 2008 (UTC)

You requested a username change not long ago, have you made a similar new request at other wikis? As you may remember, we need crosslinks to verify this. Thanks, Patrícia msg 18:13, 13 September 2008 (UTC)
I have not linked it with other Wikis. I just want to change it for the Commons, not Wikipedia. Mohsin (talk) 11:36, 14 September 2008 (UTC)
Possible or not? Mohsin (talk) 22:12, 15 September 2008 (UTC)
It's possible, but please take the following into account:
  • There are accounts on other projects with this name. It would be good to crosslink from the one having edits if it's yours; if it's not yours, bear in mind that if you want to SUL your new account, you will have collisions with the new username on other projects.
  • Your present account will be detached from your SUL account, that is, it will be not unified with your other accounts. If you want this for some reason, fine, but just confirm that you understand this, because it will make you have at least two diferent logins for Wikimedia projects (and from your request, you wanted things simplified, not complicated). Thank you for your patience. Patrícia msg 19:52, 17 September 2008 (UTC)

[edit] ジダネ to Jidane

I would like to use SUL in this name. And I want to have internationally useful name.Sorry for my bad English. ジダネ (talk) 14:10, 14 September 2008 (UTC)

Hi. Before we can do this, you need to go to your userpage on another wiki (where you have the desired username), and while logged in, edit that page to say "I am requesting a rename on Commons." (and mention your Commons username while you're there.) Save the page, get a diff, and post it here. If you have one, a wikimatrix (like m:User:Lar/WikiMatrix) also works for this purpose. All this is just to prove that you're who you say you are and make everyone's life easier. Thanks. EugeneZelenko (talk) 16:02, 14 September 2008 (UTC)
Thank you for teaching me.Do you mean by I have to make wikimatrix or edit my other wiki page?In fact I don't have name "Jidane" in other wiki.So I have to wait until it has changed? And if I have name "Jidane" in ja:wikipedia, can I make wikimatrix in ja:wikipedia?--ジダネ (talk) 07:38, 15 September 2008 (UTC)
Unified name across all projects is good idea. See m:Help:Unified login. --EugeneZelenko (talk) 14:53, 15 September 2008 (UTC)

[edit] MrIPA to Wikimedianediter

Reason: SUL

Can you elaborate a bit on the need please? Also, before we can do this, you need to go to your userpage on another wiki (where you have the desired username), and while logged in, edit that page to say "I am requesting a rename on Commons." Finally, any crat considering doing this please contact me first. There are some CU related concerns. ++Lar: t/c 01:16, 30 November 2008 (UTC)
I concur with Lar, and would strongly suggest that he (or I, but he has the bit here) be contacted first. -- Avi (talk) 02:31, 30 November 2008 (UTC)

[edit] J4ckzor to Jackzor

[edit] Astur1 to Astur

Please see the message box at the top of this page, your global SUL account can be unlinked if you visit m:Steward_requests/SUL_requests#Requests_for_usurpation to request it. Then get the renames needed done, then relink. Hope that helps. (Patricia can you translate that for me? :) ) ++Lar: t/c 23:08, 17 April 2008 (UTC)
Espero ter ajudado. translated by Patrícia msg 11:41, 21 April 2008 (UTC)
Apparently Astur did not delete the global account and didn't wait for a rename to start using the "Astur" account (as seen in Special:Contributions/Astur and both userpages User:Astur and User:Astur1), so I think we can archive this as Not done. Patrícia msg 13:22, 17 July 2008 (UTC)

[edit] User:Mcknol to User:Maurits

I want to create a unified login, therefore I would like to change my username to the username I use on the dutch wiki. Thanks in advance. --Maurits 18:33, 28 May 2008 (UTC)

Could you crosslink from another account where you have this id (from that account, on that wiki, post saying this is you here, perhaps on your user page) and post a diff to it? Thanks. Or give a ref to your WikiMatrix if you have one. (see m:User:Lar/WikiMatrix for an example) Bastique demandez 19:48, 28 May 2008 (UTC)
Is this sufficient (see top of page)? Regards, --Maurits 22:33, 28 May 2008 (UTC)
Not done Can't be done as Maurits is reserved for a global account. Please request deletion of it at m:SR/SUL first. giggy (:O) 10:09, 29 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Nikkeric 2 to Nikkeric

I wish to rename myself in because I hold accounts one other wikis w:User:Nikkeric, and wish to have identical usernames on each. Thank you.--Nikkeric2 17:51, 1 June 2008 (UTC)

Could you crosslink from another account where you have this id (from that account, on that wiki, post saying this is you here, perhaps on your user page) and post a diff to it? Thanks. Or give a ref to your WikiMatrix if you have one. (see m:User:Lar/WikiMatrix for an example). Thanks --EugeneZelenko 14:41, 2 June 2008 (UTC)

[2]. Please verify. Thanks.--Nikkeric2 00:28, 5 June 2008 (UTC)

Not done You need to delete your global account at m:SR/SUL first. I usurped Nikkeric out of the way, so once the global account is deleted this can be finished. giggy (:O) 01:53, 5 June 2008 (UTC)

I want to rename my account (fixing a typo) in ordered to merge it with my accounts on other wikis. Thanks in advance. --Khaled Hosny 15:23, 4 June 2008 (UTC)

Not done You need to delete your global account at m:SR/SUL first. giggy (:O) 01:48, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
Apparently خالد حسنى did not delete the global account and didn't wait for a rename to start using the "خالد حسني" account (as seen in Special:Contributions/خالد حسني, so I think we can archive this as Not done (one userpage is redirected to the other anyway). Patrícia msg 13:56, 17 July 2008 (UTC)

[edit] orion tw->orion

I want to merge this account user:orion tw into user:orion. Both of them are mine.--Orion tw (talk) 01:45, 19 June 2008 (UTC)

confirm.--Orion (talk) 01:47, 19 June 2008 (UTC)
It is not possible to merge accounts. giggy (:O) 07:28, 19 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Accounts with useful contributions

[edit] User:Woodym555 to User:Woody

Hi, I am a sysop on the English Wikipedia and would like to get the account usurped for SUL reasons. Woody (talk contribs) has three contributions here. Diff confirming I am Woody on English Wikipedia. Thanks. Woodym555 17:19, 29 March 2008 (UTC)

User:Woody has useful contributions. --EugeneZelenko 15:34, 30 March 2008 (UTC)
Woody (talk contribs) has three uploads to commons and no edits on any other project. I would be happy to go round and change the sig on those three images that they have contributed. I would also be happy to have some sort of template on my page indicating the name change. I have been unable to contact "woody". What else can I do? Woodym555 08:15, 31 March 2008 (UTC)
CheckUsage is currently down, but if you could check the usage of those images. If they're used on other projects, then a disambiguation notice on your user and talk pages (if this rename pulls through) would be essential, as there would be a chance the images are being used off Wikimedia (and thus attribution is required). giggy (:O) 08:36, 31 March 2008 (UTC)
Checked Usage; non of his images appeared to be used, so it's unlikely there would be attribution problems (IMO). 'Crats; use your judgement. giggy (:O) 10:52, 2 April 2008 (UTC)
There is still the problem of putative reuse of media outside Wikimedia projects. We're holding these requests until we come to terms on what we should do with them. See Commons:Village pump#Usurp or not usurp accounts with useful contributions. Patrícia msg 15:21, 10 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Daniel.Bryant to Daniel

I spoke with Lar a while ago, and he said it might be fine if I requested to usurp User:Daniel, who hasn't edited since mid-2006. I am Daniel on enwp (administrator), enwn (administrator), OTRS etc. etc, and am in control of the SUL for "Daniel". Thanks, Daniel (talk) 00:06, 26 March 2008 (UTC)

User:Daniel has useful contributions here. I think you should ask this user permission to take name. --EugeneZelenko 15:22, 26 March 2008 (UTC)
The user has not edited since mid-2006. Email correspondance (using emailuser on another project) has not been replied to; I emailed him in late 2007 and then again earlier this week. Thanks, Daniel (talk) 22:48, 26 March 2008 (UTC)
Per discussion with PatriciaR, I have left a note, and we will wait "a sufficient period of time" before acting here either way. If there's a holding pen or similar for ones like this, please move it to there on my behalf :) Thanks, Daniel (talk) 22:56, 26 March 2008 (UTC)
I still don't think that renaming is good idea. Please participate in Commons:Village pump#Usurp or not usurp accounts with useful contributions. --EugeneZelenko 15:09, 27 March 2008 (UTC)
Second attempt. Comments appreciated. As I note there, should this usurpation be completed, I will manually review every incoming link and fix the destination. Thanks, DanielB 09:50, 28 May 2008 (UTC)
I'd suggest that, unless any objections are raised (by anyone), we go ahead and perform the usurp in about a week, and add a pretty big notice to the top of (the new) User:Daniel that uploads prior to ((date of rename)) were made by someone else. giggy (:O) 09:51, 28 May 2008 (UTC)
Even though the logs will be updated, I will be happy to have a red banner to that effect, with a link to the new userpage (ie. User:-Daniel-) included. DanielB 09:53, 28 May 2008 (UTC)
Sorry, I didn't get any notification!!! I had not registed any eMail address on my German Wikipedia Account. --Daniel 11:43, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
I am against it. I do useful contributions in the last time like this or one. I want to keep my Account. I don't understand why DanielB finds himself a new username for universal login. DanielB: Tell why you want to do this. One real reason?!--Daniel 14:08, 4 June 2008 (UTC)

(reset) If Daniel is not agreeing, we're not doing it. This is a good example of why we should absolutely *not* usurp accounts with useful contributions. Please try to get some sort of agreement over who should have which usernames, bureaucrats don't enforce usurps in these conditions. Thank you for your understanding, Patrícia msg 18:22, 6 June 2008 (UTC)

Regretfully agreed. If Daniel won't give you his name, you can't have it. giggy (:O) 02:26, 7 June 2008 (UTC)
Agreed as well. Perhaps you could get DanielB as your SUL name? Let's let this sit a bit longer and then archive it as not done. ++Lar: t/c 23:06, 24 June 2008 (UTC)
http://toolserver.org/~vvv/sulutil.php?user=Daniel suggests several unattached "Daniel" on several wikis. I would like to suggest getting DanielB as your SUL name per Lar, or something else, as the Daniel here has shown unwillingness to give up the username here.--Jusjih (talk) 00:43, 18 September 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Carcharoth (Commons) to Carcharoth

I am en:User:Carcharoth (admin and 35,000+ edits), and I registered User:Carcharoth (Commons) here in January 2007 (have uploaded 35 pics and have made just over 150 edits so far, mainly asking questions and making a few comments here and there), but with the start of single user log-in, I need to sort out who has what name here on Commons before I can go ahead with creating a global account. I get the impression from the above that usurption only happens if an account has no edits, but maybe the advent of SUL will change this? User:Carcharoth (which is not me) has made edits and uploads here (see Special:Contributions/Carcharoth and User talk:Carcharoth, 18 edits to upload 18 pictures, plus 7 deleted pics, last edit-upload in August 2007, first edit-upload was in November 2006). I haven't tried contacting User:Carcharoth (his name seems to be in the upload descriptions). Possibly, based on the French edit summaries and this, there is a connection with fr:Utilisateur:Carcharoth, but again, I would need to make contact to ask that kind of question (presuming that is an acceptable question to ask). These are the only two name clashes I need to resolve before going ahead with creating a global account (the other 'accounts' on other wikis are phantom 'transwikiied' edits). Should I attempt to contact User:Carcharoth first on his user talk page (his e-mail is not enabled). I would be happy to do that, but is it best if someone else does that? Carcharoth (Commons) 01:51, 26 March 2008 (UTC)

From the looks of the fr.wikipedia userpage, the user has left. Besides that, could you please link to a diff of a dummy edit stating your identity on your en.wikipedia userpage?
Will this (today) and this (back in January 2007) do? Corresponding edits over here are this (today) and this (back in January 2007). I'd still be happy to contact the user in question and wait to see if they reply, but from the French Wikipedia user page, does it look like they have left (my French isn't good enough for that)? OK. I stuck it in a tranlsation engine, and it looks like they did leave, but I would note that if they are the same person, they uploaded a picture here on Commons in August 2007, so they didn't leave completely. But that is the only edit/upload on either project in over a year, unless there are deleted edits. I'm in no rush, so please feel free to try and contact the user, or ask me to contact them. Just let me know how long I should give for them to respond, or if you would prefer to handle things differently. Carcharoth (Commons) 08:48, 26 March 2008 (UTC)
User:Carcharoth has useful contributions here. I think you should ask this user permission to take name. --EugeneZelenko 15:29, 26 March 2008 (UTC)
Thanks for the reply. In one of my other replies above, I said "please feel free to try and contact the user, or ask me to contact them." I agree with you that it is best to contact users and ask them in cases like this, and once my other questions have been cleared up I will do so by leaving a note on his talk page (his e-mail address is not enabled). One concern I have is how to ask this sort of thing politely. Is there a standard way to ask "can I have your name?" that will cause least offence and not come across as demanding or rude? In some ways I think having intermediaries (the bureaucrats?) ask this sort of question might be best to avoid conflict, but if the standard here is for individuals to make their own approaches, I will do that. I will wait for a reply on that before asking him. One more thing. Given his low levels of activity, would you be able to answer another of my questions: "how long I should give for [him] to respond"? Thanks. Carcharoth (Commons) 16:05, 26 March 2008 (UTC)
An update. Since I don't speak French, User:Blinking Spirit (who is fr:Utilisatrice:Esprit Fugace, a bureaucrat at the French Wikipedia) has kindly left this message (for the Commons account for Carcharoth) and this message (for the French Wikipedia account for Carcharoth). I'll watch to see what happens here, but I think I've done as much as I can. If someone could give me some idea of when a definitive answer will be given, I'd be grateful, as if the usurption request fails, I'll go ahead and activate my global account anyway (I was hoping to get this sorted out before then, but if not, no problem). Thanks. Carcharoth (Commons) 01:02, 28 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Usurpation of Michelet by Micheletb

Hello. I have ~ 15000 edits on fr:wikipedia under the username fr:utilisateur:Michelet, and would like to usurp the same username on Commons (where I am admin) because of SUL - I would like to use "Michelet" in all wiki. I asked es:user:Michelet a couple of months ago but never recieved any answer. Is something possible? Thanks in advance. Michelet-密是力 20:35, 26 March 2008 (UTC)

Personally, I am willing to do this usurpation request but there should be some effort to contact the user before, and ask if he doesn't mind being renamed. Could you please do so through his talk page, since he does not have enabled e-mail? If there is no reply in a couple of weeks, I'd be inclined to do the rename. Cheers, Patrícia msg 23:06, 26 March 2008 (UTC)
There has been some effort! I tried to reach him through his Spanish talk page in august 2007 and doubled it by e-mail, but had no reply. Apparently, this user seldom contributes on es:special:Contributions/Michelet, his home wiki, and does not reply on his discussion page even in Spanish... Well, I can double the message on his Commons user page, of course (done); but since he seems to have had no activity on Commons since june 06, I can hardly expect any reply down here. Michelet-密是力 06:30, 27 March 2008 (UTC)
I don't think that renaming is good idea. Please participate in Commons:Village pump#Usurp or not usurp accounts with useful contributions. --EugeneZelenko 15:07, 27 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Heron2 to Heron

I'm known as Heron on en.wikipedia.org, so I'd like to have the same name here to enable unified login. When I created my commons account, there was another user here called Heron, but that user seems to have been deleted. I'm therefore hoping that my account can be renamed without having to 'usurp' anyone. --Heron2 10:45, 5 April 2008 (UTC)

P.S. Here's a cross-link to my en: user page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Heron#Commons_name_change. --Heron2 10:49, 5 April 2008 (UTC)

User:Heron has useful contributions on Commons. --EugeneZelenko 16:26, 5 April 2008 (UTC)
Oh yes, I see now that they have. I thought I clicked on 'User Contributions' before and got nothing, but I must have been mistaken. In that case I'll have to soldier on as Heron2, I suppose... unless there's a way of asking Heron if they wouldn't mind vacating the account, as they haven't used it for over 3 years? -- 81.86.175.16 18:09, 5 April 2008 (UTC) Heron2 17:25, 8 April 2008 (UTC)
Heron doesn't have email enabled. You can leave a message on their talk page in the off chance they may receive it, but it's not likely. Sorry... giggy (:O) 23:58, 12 May 2008 (UTC)
We're not doing usurpations of accounts with useful contributions until we know how is SUL going to work with conflicting usernames when the full rollout is done. Sorry, Patrícia msg 14:35, 21 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] User:Jeroenvrp to User:Jeroen

Hello,

I am user Jeroen on the Dutch Wikipedia. I like to use the User:Jeroen also over here (SUL). There are only a few edits and uploads from User Jeroen. I understand that it is properly not possible, but someone can always try. The User Jeroenvrp (current user) does not have to be renamed/moved, because that is not possible (it's another SUL login from me with en: as its home wiki). So to summarize my request: Can someone please unsurp User:Jeroen? Thanks in advance, --Jeroenvrp (talk) 16:01, 27 May 2008 (UTC)

Please hold this request to further notice. I first request a deletion of my Jeroenvrp-SUL-login, so it can also be renamed to Jeroen over here (because I have lots of edits and uploads on the name Jeroenvrp). --Jeroenvrp 17:07, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
OK, the Jeroenvrp-login has been deleted. So can someone please unsurp User:Jeroen and rename User:Jeroenvrp to User:Jeroen afterwards? Thanks in advance, --Jeroenvrp 17:16, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
Right, well... the thing is, we're not doing usurpations of accounts with useful contributions. However, we may have to change this soon. So, I'll move this request to the unfulfilled requests for now, but keep in mind we will do something about this in the near future. Sorry for the hassle, Patrícia msg 20:23, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
I understand Patricia, but I had a few Wikipedias that actually did usurpations for me of users that were active. They were all older and less than approx. 10 contributions, that's why I thought Commons would maybe allow this to. So please reconsider? --Jeroenvrp 20:37, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
I understand that, and we may have to do that here too. Please have a look at Commons:Village pump/Archive/2008Apr#Usurp or not usurp accounts with useful contributions where the matter has been discussed. With today's activation of true single login, we are probably going to have to enforce the proposals done there. A bit of patience, please, I'll try to reopen the discussion as quickly as possible. Cheers, Patrícia msg 20:44, 27 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Jeroenvrp (talk contribs) to Jeroen (talk contribs)

  • Current username: Jeroenvrp
  • Desired username: Jeroen
  • Reason: For single user login. Commons is the only project that don't want to give me the user name Jeroen. Please reconsider my request?! See for the latest information User talk:PatríciaR/2#Unsurping User:Jeroen Pt.III (that has been archived without answering my latest contributions to the topic). See also here and my first request. Thanks in advance, --Jeroenvrp (talk) 14:19, 20 July 2008 (UTC)
It has been archived here. I will not state for the fourth time that I personally will not usurp old accounts with useful contributions without having an explicit authorization from the original user, so I will not deal with this. If another 'crat wants to assume that responsibility, fine by me, but I will not rip someone's online identity just for the sake of a unified login. Patrícia msg 13:41, 25 July 2008 (UTC)
So please let another bureaucrat handle this request?! --Jeroenvrp (talk) 01:51, 28 July 2008 (UTC)
In practice I would be reluctant to rename someone who has valid contribution per Patricia. --Herby talk thyme 12:27, 29 July 2008 (UTC)
Agree with Patricia und Herby, so moved again to unfulfilled requests. -- 01:06, 28 November 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Robinsonsmay to Macy

  • Current Username: Robinsonsmay
  • Target Username: Macy
  • Reason: I need to usurp the account Macy for SUL purposes. See confirmation on the Spanish Wikipedia (click here). Robinsonsmay (talk) 20:58, 29 July 2008 (UTC)
I'm sorry, User:Macy has useful recent contributions. This account cannot be usurped without their permission. Bastique demandez 21:28, 29 July 2008 (UTC)
I have a question: If the user does not replies the message within 7 days, can I still usurp the account? Robinsonsmay (talk) 12:44, 30 July 2008 (UTC)
Not at this time. Bastique demandez 21:46, 31 July 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Seha

I would like to usurp this username without edits User:Seha. I have a account at bs. wiki as user:Seha so at:.sh, .sr. hr. de... and would like to have one global user name. If Possible please live message at bosnian talk page. Thanks!--Seha bs (talk) 20:34, 30 July 2008 (UTC)

Seha (talk contribs) has useful contributions. --EugeneZelenko (talk) 14:51, 31 July 2008 (UTC)
Perhaps you can check my edits: Bosnian wiki, or Serbo-Croat wiki and his edits at tr. wiki or fi.wiki where he also own an account. Request denied for a user with 1000 edits in 8 months and as a reason a user with few contributions? --Seha bs (talk) 10:07, 2 August 2008 (UTC)
Is there a chance to get an answer?!?--Seha bs (talk) 18:31, 13 August 2008 (UTC)
We're not usurping accounts with useful contributions (meaning image uploads) at the time because of possible attribution issues. You can see more examples of the same kind of problem on this very page. We don't judge users for their edit count. Greetings, Patrícia msg 15:34, 14 August 2008 (UTC)
Nice! He makes his last edit a year ago. At en.wiki the same name was usurped and there were more edits. But thx for nothing.--Seha bs (talk) 10:52, 16 August 2008 (UTC)

[edit] ALR1 to ALR

I am ALR in the English wikipedia and control the SUL ALR. I would like to usurp the account ALR in Commons which has only one upload, which does not appear to be in use. I have one audio file attributed to my Wikipedia account which has already been transferred across and have both audio and image files which I am intending on uploading.

I have emailed the existing user for agreement

Diff demonstrating ownership in en here

Thanks

ALR1 (talk) 16:11, 22 August 2008 (UTC)

Thanks, as noted in the request I've tried that route, I'm not sure the request was understood. Still, one substantive contribution is fair.

[edit] User:Beano123 -> User:Beano

I am seeking usurption of Beano for my SUL. My home project is the English Wikipedia. I have made an edit on my home userspace to prove that I am Beano and not an impersonator. This can be seen here. Thank you! Beano123 (talk) 09:42, 18 November 2008 (UTC)

Not done. This user has useful contributions and is still active (at least on en.WP). Please discuss with him if he is willing to change his username. Otherwise this account is not eligible for usurpation under the current rules. -- Cecil (talk) 10:00, 18 November 2008 (UTC)
I have requested permission via his home userspace. You can see this request here. If he accepts the change, I will let you know and link you with the proof. Thanks. Beano123 (talk) 22:03, 18 November 2008 (UTC)
It seems like he is no longer active. According to his contribututions, he hasn't edited since August. How many months of inactivity does an account require in order to be able to be able to be usurped? Beano123 (talk) 03:52, 30 November 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Current Usurpation requests

Occasionally, someone will request to be renamed to an account that exists (has been registered) but has not made any edits. Such requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis. For the procedure please ensure that you have read this and the following section so that you request may be dealt with as quickly as we can. Thanks.

New: It is now possible for bureaucrats to rename a user to a name already taken in the Single User Login system, as long as the global account and the local account have the same email address or password.

[edit] Rename Albam (talk • contribs • count) to Albamhandae (talk • contribs • count)

Hello. I would like to change username. My current name only Commons is Albam. Meta account, English Wiki account. (request in Meta, request in commons) --Albamhandae (talk) 11:09, 17 June 2008 (UTC)

The problem is still the fact that you have already created & edited with the new user name. The only thing we could do is rename Albamhandae to something else (loosing the edits) and then rename Albam to Albamhandae. However as you have edits on both names that would seem unwise. You would be better to leave this as a redirect from your old name to the new now. Thanks --Herby talk thyme 07:31, 18 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Producer (usurp) back to my original name Nasib Bitar

I would kindly like to revert back to my original name, because I did not know that when the name Producer was usurped I also inherited all the previous user's work. I am sincerely sorry for this inconvenience, and hope for your understanding.--Producer (talk) 08:43, 1 July 2008 (UTC)

Hi Producer. From what I can see, you shouldn't have inherited any of that user's contributions - they were all moved to his new Producer (usurped) name. See logs. Apologies if I've missed anything. —Giggy 09:46, 1 July 2008 (UTC)

[edit] PhotoBoothe and Photoboothe

PhotoBoothe is my main Wiki account, but apparently when I first went to commons, I registered there as Photoboothe. Both accounts are mine. Steward Kylu suggested that I "request the "PhotoBoothe" account there be renamed to something else (PhotoBoothe_old perhaps?) and "Photoboothe" account renamed to "PhotoBoothe," then they can delete both global accounts allowing the bureaucrats at Commons to perform the renames, then I'd simply log in as PhotoBoothe everywhere, from then on. So I am requesting the renames as suggested above. Thank you!--PhotoBoothe (talk) 03:20, 5 July 2008 (UTC)

I'm not a steward, just friendly. :) ~Kylu (u|t) 03:31, 5 July 2008 (UTC)
Also, the global account has been deleted for PhotoBoothe. Let us know on m:SR/SUL when you're done please. ~Kylu (u|t) 03:39, 5 July 2008 (UTC)

Friendly works! Done, as in logging out, or as in re-merging accounts? PhotoBoothe is the ID I'd like to use in the long run.--PhotoBoothe (talk) 15:17, 5 July 2008 (UTC)

OK... I renamed "PhotoBoothe" to "PhotoBoothe (usurped)". I couldn't rename "Photoboothe" as I got the error "Cannot rename user Photoboothe locally as this username has been migrated to the unified login system." I think this is some sort of SUL issue - did you re-merge the accounts after Kylu did any of the SUL deletions? (Log in as either Photoboothe or PhotoBoothe (usurped) to reply.) —Giggy 15:27, 5 July 2008 (UTC)

I didn't do anything after logging off, after my 03:20 post. But I must've re-merged Photoboothe earlier on... I'd be happy to completely eliminate the Photoboothe ID and save PhotoBoothe as the one and only, lol.--http://myspace.com/photoboothe (talk) 15:51, 5 July 2008 (UTC)

Should be clear now... --birdy geimfyglið (:> )=| 16:09, 5 July 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Muhammad Azmi ---> Azmi1995

For SUL Azmi 04:58, 13 July 2008 (UTC)

Could you crosslink from another account where you have this id (from that account, on that wiki, post saying this is you here, perhaps on your user page) and post a diff to it? Thanks. Or give a ref to your WikiMatrix if you have one. (see m:User:Lar/WikiMatrix for an example). Thanks EugeneZelenko (talk) 15:33, 13 July 2008 (UTC)

[edit] User:Mikle misu to User:Misu

Hi, I whant to have here in Commons also account Misu as I have in Ukrainian and Russian wiki. But, here the login Misu is alredy taken by someone else (not me). As I know it has no contribution so I can say that it was dsurpated. Can somebody help me in this situation. Thanks in advance. -- Mikle misu (talk) 13:44, 4 November 2008 (UTC)

Thanks. EugeneZelenko (talk) 15:52, 4 November 2008 (UTC)
Зачем обоим мучаться =) Я не совсем понял на какой странице и когда мне надо написать "I am requesting a rename on Commons."
--EugeneZelenko (talk) 15:55, 5 November 2008 (UTC)

I hereby confirming that I want to usurpe the account Riuk. Reason: SUL in es.wiki. Cheers. Riuks (talk) 17:19, 23 November 2008 (UTC)

Hi. There is no account Riuk, so you can't ursurp it, just rename.
