You're right, it is a duplicate, but not an accident. These are in fact two prints from the same negative. The negative is originates from the Nederlandsche Handels Maatschappij N.V. (Netherlands Trading Company), which had a branch in Jakarta (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Netherlands_Trading_Society). The two photographs came into the collection in two different photo albums, and via different sources. One shows images of Jakarta quite generally: http://collectie.tropenmuseum.nl/Default.aspx?ccid=460787 Images of the other album can be found here: http://collectie.tropenmuseum.nl/Default.aspx?ccid=P5425

Wrong name and description
As I already mentioned on it's discussion page: this might not be Batak writing but some form of the Rencong alphabet. It is, then, not a "wichelboek" and not in "Batak". The genre cannot be determined by me and the type of Rencong is also hard to discern (because there is not enough visible text). Martijn (talk) 16:28, 27 August 2011 (UTC)
You're absolutely right Martijn, it is Rencong. Thank you for your attentiveness.
File:COLLECTIE TROPENMUSEUM Zwaveldamp in de krater van de Gunung Gedé op West Java TMnr 60009675.jpg had a wrong description, which was pointed out here. It was changed on Commons already, see difflink. --тнояsтеn ⇔ 17:19, 27 September 2012 (UTC)
