  •  Oppose No defining features of location, could be anywhere. Underexposed banks don't help. MER-C 08:02, 1 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  •  Oppose A pretty sunset, but fails criteria 2 and 5 at least. Sunsets are very much the same the world over, and the claimed scope does not distinguish this from any other sunset photograph. It is also not geocoded: that is mandatory along with all the other criteria. --MichaelMaggs 08:10, 1 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
    •  Comment But the nominated scope isn't "sunset", but "beautiful sight in Hanoi". Geocoding aside (which is a valid reason to oppose), if I'm understanding the process correctly, then this image should be compared with other "beautiful sights in Hanoi", not with other sunsets. -- Powers 14:30, 1 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I don't think that's the way it should work. To take a more extreme example, would you allow the two scopes "view of the moon from Hanoi" and "view of the moon from London"? I suspect not, as they would be visually indistinquishable and the photographer's location would not be at all relevant to the claimed scope. Similarly here: there is nothing in the image which fixes the "beautiful sight" as being in Hanoi as opposed to anywhere else in the world that has a river and trees. --MichaelMaggs 16:06, 1 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  •  Oppose Bad scope... subjective "beautiful" opens up a can of worms as to what is an acceptable scope. – flamurai 03:00, 2 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  •  Oppose It's nice, but I've seen better... wait is this FPC? Why am I judging it on how beautiful it is? Rocket000 10:34, 3 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  •  Oppose I also think the scope is strange. Beautiful is too subjective, should we have "mediocre" and "ugly" views of Hanoi too :) ? /Daniel78 07:38, 4 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  •  Oppose Fails criterion 3 Must illustrate its subject well. It is only very vaguely and on very close inspection that I see features on the left bank resembling buildings, which I could associate to an urbanized environment indicated by Hanoi being part of the scope. The image could be from almost anywhere and does not seem to be very distinct to the area in question. -- Slaunger 21:16, 4 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
