Why has this page blanked? I mean there was not a single policy cited for discarding a lot of votes. Do we start the same stupidity en.wikipedia has about banned users here? -- Rillke(q?) 23:58, 15 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

What is the point of a global ban against a particular person if not to prevent that person from participating in the projects? Allowing a sock-puppet to evade the ban just adds to the mockery. Saffron Blaze (talk) 00:04, 16 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I cannot remember having a user globally banned. The last one I tried to get rid off wasn't banned finally. In other words: This wasn't a community decision and I am not inclined to apply pre-emptive obedience. I have history books about 2 dictatorships full of that. -- Rillke(q?) 00:17, 16 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
So, if a person was globally banned for just cause then you'd still be all for allowing them to participate through sockpuppet accounts? Saffron Blaze (talk) 01:17, 16 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
As far as I remember those who locked russavia didn't state any cause for the ban. Or did they in-between? If they failed to, I am failing to see how we could support this practise. It's like superprotect I am going to clarify a few things - if you buy it one time, it will be easier the next time for, maybe a more trivial matter. -- Rillke(q?) 11:58, 16 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
See. And we all know what is written in ToU. Jee 12:11, 16 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Bought, thanks for sharing the links. (Although of course I do not like secrecy if not absolutely necessary, which isn't in most of these cases, I think - but that would require new ToUs again...) -- Rillke(q?) 11:53, 17 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Rillke, you did not answer the question. It wasn't about any real case, but rather a hypothetical one where a user was banned for just cause, would you support them participating in this project through sock-puppet accounts? Saffron Blaze (talk) 00:41, 17 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Frankly, I am busy and not so much interested in answering hypothetical questions. Thanks for caring. -- Rillke(q?) 11:53, 17 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
That's a really funny post, Rillke. Particularly the "not a single policy" bit. Nearly as funny as when Russavia got his admin bit restored because there wasn't a policy against blocked users being admins. Someone should collect these little nuggets of unwisdom. -- Colin (talk) 08:24, 16 March 2015 (UTC) Caught in the crossfire here. Sarcasm/mockery not appropriate. Sorry Rillke. -- Colin (talk) 21:40, 16 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
That is not fun. Feel free to create a collection. -- Rillke(q?) 11:58, 16 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

If Russavia can't nominate such am amazing photo for out Main Page, then I will: Commons:Featured_picture_candidates/File:State_Emergency_Service_of_Ukraine_(MChS)_Mil_Mi-8MTV_picking_up_water_near_Nezhin.jpg_2. --Michaeldsuarez (talk) 21:11, 26 March 2015 (UTC) I do not understand why so much this problem? rusavia is a spawn of evil?, why defend a foundation to which we are just a number? . Why not just use common sense and let him open another account and is the WMF who is responsible for making their arbitrary and dictatorial decisions? --The_Photographer (talk) 00:07, 27 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
