- Hi there. I have a few comments. (1) Thanks for expressing interest in working here at Commons. (2) I know it was a long time ago, and the license may have changed in the time between uploading Image:Lesotho maletsunyane falls.jpg and now, but make sure to use the correct Creative Commons license. They are not the same (as I am sure you know)! :) (3) With regards to your recent uploads, I would strongly suggest that you contact Shiraz Chakera through Flickr mail to thank him for licensing his work freely, confirm that is what his intent was and that he is indeed the copyright holder (maybe not the last part... his works look fine to me :), and ask if he would mind you uploading them to Wikimedia Commons. I think it is a nice courtesy, especially when you want to upload all of a Flickr user's photographs. And, best of all, it gets Wikimedia Commons out there and we get some free advertising! ;o) Other than, looks fine, and I am sure that you will be speedy reviewed as an admin on another wiki. Cheers, --Iamunknown 07:27, 8 October 2007 (UTC)
- Yes, I've learned the acceptable licenses and the unacceptable ones. I guess that license on the Maletsunyane image had changed since I uploaded it and Yonatanh confirmed that it was accurate. When looking for images on flickr, I select the commercial-use and the derivatives allowed options on the advanced search page, so I know all the images I get are acceptable. I'll try to email Shiraz now, thanks for the idea. Picaroon (t) 02:03, 9 October 2007 (UTC)
