Edit Conflict[edit]

Please find a better way to fill up a list! I had at least five edit conflicts in sequence until I could save my name on the list, even when having the entry in clipboard to just click edit, paste, and save whithin some few seconds; even that was too much and was provoking an edit conflict. Needing to do that five or more times just to save is too much. Please find a better way for adding a name (or else) to a list like here! Btw: I only was editing a section ... --ProloSozz (talk) 02:17, 1 May 2011 (UTC)

I think its just part of using metawiki --Guerillero 02:44, 1 May 2011 (UTC)
Yes, sure it is ... but it would be nice if there would be an easier way (some kind of "drop box mode") just to add or fill in data ... I don't know if that exists (yet) - but as said: it would be nice if ... :) --ProloSozz (talk) 09:14, 1 May 2011 (UTC)

Auto-pass/fail?[edit]

Is it possible to make a script to auto-add/auto-fail an account for voting after checking? It's becoming a pain, really, with all the conflicts. This might sound stupid, but maybe even "shifts" per say for all the committee members? Server time hours to add your name on the list to be able to be checked for eligibility? This needs a little regulation in my opinion. ReinforcedReinforcements (talk) 05:18, 1 May 2011 (UTC)

I don't know what the problem is[edit]

. . . but I'm not being allowed to edit the page and add my name. It's driving me nuts, really. I checked, and I should be eligible to do this, but if the hoops are going to be this difficult to jump through, I'm probably just going to say forget the whole thing Woodstein52 (talk) 20:05, 1 May 2011 (UTC)

I do not know why you can't edit the page. I will check and verify your voting rights now --Guerillero 20:34, 1 May 2011 (UTC)
hi guerillero - i, too, tried and couldn't get it done. i verified my status and it was ok. any ideas? Soosim (talk) 14:01, 2 May 2011 (UTC)
If you can't edit the votes page only, it is probably because it is semi-protected. Your accounts on Commons aren't older than 4 days hence why you can't edit the page. The idea behind semi-protection is to stop IPs editing, the trouble is the collateral damage such as yourselves. Ideally, the protection needs to be removed to allow users such as yourselves to edit. Woody (talk) 18:12, 2 May 2011 (UTC)
Yup, seems to be a major hassle. I'm not going to jump through hoops. I have an account on en.wp, but no global account. 24.57.77.99 00:21, 29 May 2011 (UTC)

Symbol on the page[edit]

I removed a "◊" symbol which was on the page at the top of the pending verification section. It was introduced by this edit by User:Robert Ferrieux. Was this correct? Banaticus (talk) 04:28, 2 May 2011 (UTC)

Size of page[edit]

Size of page is growing and thus is becoming hard to edit for users with weaker computers (or mobile devicies). What about to move eligible (and not eligible) to new page (Commons:Picture of the Year/2010/Voters/checked for example). I think is no problem to modify bots to change to that page. It will me a little bit complicated "check team", but problem with size for users will be solved. --Jklamo (talk) 20:25, 3 May 2011 (UTC)

elegibility[edit]

Can someone check my elegibility and put me in the voting list? Thanks! --Tomascastelazo (talk) 15:47, 4 May 2011 (UTC)

✓ Done --Guerillero 02:31, 5 May 2011 (UTC)

How do I add my name on list to be checked?[edit]

I can't figure out the instructions. I voted in the first round, but my name is not on the list of those checked for the second round. How do I do I get it added? Never mind. I guess I voted before the election was formally opened. Thanks, Mattisse (talk) 11:32, 30 May 2011 (UTC)

multiple votings?[edit]

The most of the voters voting more than for "one" image of the finalists. A problem? --Alchemist-hp (talk) 19:02, 31 May 2011 (UTC)

I consider yes! As only one vote is valid. The Question here: which one? All the other votes should be nullified - but how to know which one? So a solution would be to nullify all the votes of those who vote for more than one image. I don't know how the reglement is treating that. So it is better for all to vote for only one image! --ProloSozz (talk) 22:57, 31 May 2011 (UTC)
I think it is a bit misunderstanding: You may only vote once in this round. Better: You may vote only for one image in this round. The best for the multiple voters: cancel all the votings = nullify it. We can also contact all the "false" voters for a correction?! --Alchemist-hp (talk) 23:04, 31 May 2011 (UTC)
