Eurovision Song Contest 2008

The Eurovision Song Contest 2008 was the 53rd edition of the Eurovision Song Contest, which was hosted by Serbia. The semi-finals were held on 20 May and 22 May, and the final was held on 24 May 2008 in the capital, Belgrade. Serbia gained the right to host the Contest after Marija Šerifović won the 2007 Contest in Helsinki, Finland. Dima Bilan from Russia was declared the winner with the song Believe.
