Father Damien

Father Damien (1840 - 1889), born Jozef De Veuster, was a Roman Catholic missionary of the Congregation of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary who has dedicated his life in service to the lepers of Molokai in the Kingdom of Hawaii and died himself there of the disease.
