English: Mold, growing in a Petri dish from a sample of dust and debris from some repair work in the bathroom of our apartment. To take this picture, I put the entire Petri dish on the stage of my microscope. The mold is growing in EasyGel nutrient from Wild Goose Science. 10× objective, 15× eyepiece. Each pixel in the full-sized image is approximately 0.247 of a micron square. The numbered ticks on the scale in this image are 122 microns apart. |
