Summary[edit]

Description

Unidentified shed skin (exoskeleton) of a dragonfly naiad.

Green darner (Anax junius), Chinese dragonfly (Crocothemis servilia), and Wandering or Globe skimmer (Pantala flavescens) have been seen breeding in the area. Hawaiian or Giant Aeshnid dragonfly (Anax strenuus) was witnessed once, but not seen breeding.

Chinese dragonfly (Crocothemis servilia) is an introduced and thus an alien species to the islands. Green darner (Anax junius) and Wandering or Globe skimmer (Pantala flavescens) are indigenous in the Hawaiian Islands.

Hawaiian or Giant Aeshnid dragonfly (Anax strenuus) is endemic to the Hawaiian Islands.
