Description
English: Naval Air Station North Island, Calif. (Aug. 20, 2004) - Aviation Boatswain’s Mate Equipment Airman Eric Garcia of Palm Dale, Calif., sands down the Nose Gear Landing (NGL) assembly on one of the ship’s flight deck catapult systems aboard USS Nimitz (CVN 68). Nimitz is currently preparing for its first underway sea trial since returning from deployment in November 2003, while conducting missions in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF).
