ไทย: อุทยานแห่งชาติเขาใหญ่ ตั้งอยู่ในเขตพื้นที่ 4 จังหวัด 11 อำเภอ ได้แก่ อำเภอมวกเหล็ก อำเภอแก่งคอย จังหวัดสระบุรี อำเภอปากช่อง อำเภอวังน้ำเขียว จังหวัดนครราชสีมา อำเภอนาดี อำเภอกบินทร์บุรี อำเภอประจันตคาม อำเภอเมืองปราจีนบุรี จังหวัดปราจีนบุรี และอำเภอปากพลี อำเภอบ้านนา อำเภอเมืองนครนายก จังหวัดนครนายก เป็นอุทยานแห่งชาติแห่งแรกของไทย ได้รับการประกาศเป็นอุทยานแห่งชาติ เมื่อวันที่ 18 กันยายน พ.ศ. 2505 และได้รับสมญานามว่าเป็น "อุทยานมรดกของกลุ่มประเทศอาเซียน"
อุทยานแห่งชาติเขาใหญ่ มีเนื้อที่ปกคลุม 2,168 ตารางกิโลเมตร ประกอบด้วย ป่าเบญจพรรณ ป่าดงดิบแล้ง ป่าดงดิบชื้น ป่าดิบเขา ทุ่งหญ้า และป่ารุ่นหรือป่าเหล่า ป่าดงดิบชื้น ลักษณะป่าชนิดนี้เป็นป่าที่อยู่ในระดับความสูง 400-1,000 เมตรจากระดับน้ำทะเล พืชพรรณมี 3,000 ชนิด,นกมี 250 ชนิดและสัตว์เลี้ยงลูกด้วยนม 67 ชนิด ซึ่งได้แก่ ช้าง เสือ ชะนี กวาง และหมูป่า พบอยู่ตามทุ่งหญ้ากว้างทั่วๆ ไป |
