Summary[edit]

Description
English: Wolf Scout Luke Brandon, 7-year-old son of a 21st Theater Sustainment Command exercise planner, celebrates his pending promotion to “Bear” during the “crossover” ceremony held June 1 at Camp Kachina. The ceremony marked the culmination of the last Scouting year and “date of rank” for newly-promoted Scouts. Scouting activities continue throughout the summer, albeit at a more modest pace. Upcoming events include a “bike rodeo” slated for June 14 and a “fishing derby” tentatively scheduled for June 21. District and pack-level leaders plan a variety of camps and other outdoor activities in July and August. The annual “Scout Expo,” typically conducted in early September, serves as a recruiting drive and unofficial start of the next Scout season. (Photo by Sgt. Maj.
