Description AWM caption: Libya. Flight-Lieutenant W.S. Arthur, with the Nazi flag presented to No. 3 Squadron, RAAF, by Group-Captain Corss, R.A.F., in recognition of the squadron's total bag of more than 100 enemy planes. On 30 November, the squadron shot down 12 enemy for the loss of only two of its own machines, the pilots of which returned safely. Flight-Lieutenant W.S. Arthur scored four of the "kills".
