Description
Italiano: Il curioso pozzo nella cripta della chiesa di san Calimero a Milano. Secondo la leggenda, in esso sarebbe stato gettato per spregio il cadavere del vescovo San Calimero dopo il martirio (un evento storicamente dubbio). Le acque di questo pozzo erano in passato ritenute miracolose. Foto di Giovanni Dall'Orto, 5-5-2007.
English: The (rather weird) well in the crypt of San Calimero church in Milan (Italy). The legend has that the corpse of bishop Saint Calimerus was thrown, in scorn, into this well, after his martyrdom (an event whose actual occurrence is uncertain, though). The water of this well used to be deemed "miraculous". Picture by Giovanni Dall'Orto, May 5 2007.
