Description
  • Italiano: Atena della Pnice. Busto in marmo pentelico trovato ad Atene sulla collina della Pnice, già inserito in una statua colossale d'epoca romana (sec. II d.C.). Si tratta di una copia da una statua di Fidia o di uno dei suoi allievi, probabilmente posteriore al 430 a.C. Esposto nella stanza 20 del Museo archeologico nazionale di Atene, n° 3718.   • English: Pnyx Athena. Bust in pentelic marble found in Athens on the Pnyx hill, that used to top a colossal statue dating from the Roman era (2nd century AD). This is a copy after an original statue by [Phidias]] or by a pupil of his, dating after 430 BC. On display in Room 20 of the National Archaeological Museum in Athens, # 3718.
