| Description | This is the second SVG version of this image. The first (which is here) has a transparent background. I gave this one a white background, but for some reason the image isn't showing here! However it was being used on the Wikipedia article for Time Zone and it did display there (It seems to display at smaller sizes). Also, if you click on the blank space where the image should be (or on the image link, just underneath where the image should be) the image will download and display in you browser (if your browser supports SVG). Depending on your connection speed, it may take some time, the file is 2.5MB.
Because of the display issue, I have uploaded a PNG version of this image which is here Update 6 July 2007- the image seems to be displaying fine now. This is an SVG version of the Time Zone map from the CIA World Factbook 2007. It was converted from the PDF original using Adobe Illustrator CS2. The SVG settings used were: DTD:SVG1.1; FONT:SVG; SUBSETTING:Only Glyphs Used. There are two fonts that I had to substitute. In the original, Benguiat-Book was used for the country names, I used Adobe Garamond and in the original Sanvito-Roman was used for the oceans, I used Univers 57 Condensed Oblique. |
