Entering the Van Brienenoordbrug southwards, a picture showing details of the construction inside the bow and out, the scale of the 300 m long structure in comparison to nearby cars, and some dirt on the windscreen.

The first Van Brienenoordbrug, visible on the left, opened to traffic in 1965. The capacity of the bridge was doubled with the addition of this new bow in 1990.
