Summary[edit]

Description
English: 29.013 Steamer of the Belgian National Railway Company (SNCB-NMBS). The 300 locs of Class 29 were ordered at ALCo (USA) and Montreal Locomotive Works (Canada) after WW2 (1945). As Diesel and electric locs were ordered quickly afterwards and Class 29 retired in 1966. 29.013 has then hauled the very last commercial steam train in Belgium. It was then used to haul touristic specials until 1996, when major problems to the boiler were detected. The loc was send to the german steam workshop of Meiningen where the boiler was replaced by a slightly different german one. 29.013 is again since 2003 the only heritage loc in workign order at the belgian railways. (note : photo taken during a steam festival on Bocq heritage railway. The second loc is PFT's 64.169. A third loc is also pushing the train)
