| Description |
unrealised 25 CHF and 50 CHF coin 1955 CHF 52 and CHF 50 gold coins. The Swiss National Bank minted 15 million of the CHF 25 coin and 6 million of the CHF 50 coin (a third each in 1955, 1956 and 1959), but the coins were never given into circulation. In February 2009, Swissmint communicated that most of the coins had been melted back into bullion, except of a remainder 120,000 pieces (20,000 for each type and year). |
