Description
English: Dettaglio della tettoia del Consiglio imperiale nel Palazzo Topkapi ad Istanbul, luogo di riunione del Divan (Divan-ı Hümâyûn), ossia del Consiglio imperiale, che comprendeva il Gran Visir, i visir, ed altri dignitari dello stato Ottomano. Si trova nell'angolo di nord-est del secondo cortile, vicino alla Porta della Felicità. Fu costruito dal capo-architetto Alseddin per ordine del sultano Solimano il Magnifico, nel XV secolo.
English: Detail from the roof of the Imperial Council building in the Topkapi Palace in Istanbul, where the Divan (Divan-ı Hümâyûn), the Imperial Council, consisting of the Grand Vizier, viziers, and other leading officials of the Ottoman state, held meetings. It is situated in the northwestern corner of the second courtyard next to the Gate of Felicity. It was constructed by the architect-in-chief Alseddin, by the order of Sultan Süleyman the Magnificent, in the 15th century.
