Description
Deutsch: Acht Arbeitsplätze anstelle einer automatisierten Wäscherei, an einem unidentifizierten Ort, vermutlich für einen herrschaftlichen Haushalt in Deutschland, um 1890: Sieben Wäschefrauen und ein Wäscher arbeiten mit Waschzuber, Waschbrett (auch Wäscheruffel genannt), Auswringen per Handarbeit, einer Gießkanne zum Bleichen auf dem Boden mit Sonnenstrahlen ("Zeigt her, Eure Füße, zeigt her, Eure Schuh ..."), einer Frau mit Wäscheklammern im umgehängten Beutel und sowie einem Hausmädchen mit Wechselgriff-Bügeleisen. Das Foto wurde im Kabinettformat entwickelt.
