English: A Self-acting Incline This photograph was taken from the second level of Gorseddau Quarry looking towards the foot of the main incline. Note the width of the incline, which had two sets of rails. Working on the gravity principle, the weight of a laden truck going down would pull an empty one up the adjoining track. Such inclines are also known as Self-acting inclines. |
