Summary[edit]

Description
English: A ruined mountain wall Walls and fences are only really necessary at the lower end of a hill farm to avoid sheep getting on to busy roads or to deter sheep rustlers by making access difficult. Most sheep herds in the area are well hefted and stick to their 'cynefin' i.e. their heft. Sheep flocks over generations develop a sense of territoriality and will not stray from the general area which they regard as their own.
