| Description |
English: Above Cautley Crag. The photograph doesn't show the sheer drop just past the grass in the foreground, which is located on the eastern shoulder of Great Dummacks. The hill in the background is Yarlside.
The square is at the eastern edge of the Howgill Fells, above the Rawthey valley (243685). From the highest point (near photographer position), the land slopes off towards the Rawthey (E) and 88605 (N) valleys. Cautley Crag stretches from the centre to NE and continues northward. Apart from the crags, all the square is open grassland. |
